Russian Blue, Abyssinian, Kitten, Perth, WA
When considering a Kimara Russian Blue or Silver Abyssinian Kitten, you can be assured that they will be:

  • Raised in our home and socialised from an early age in a busy household, familiar with other cats, dogs, and children
  • Veterinarian checked with their first vaccination performed and wormed to schedule
  • Depending on the development of the kitten, available from 11 - 12 weeks of age
  • Registered with Cat Owners Association of W.A. (affiliated with the Co-ordinating Cat Council of Australia) and accompanied with their certificate of registration and pedigree
  • Full Care and information portfolio, which includes Pet Plan's Free 6 week Insurance Policy for peace of mind

We are proud to be associated with the Millpoint Veterinary Surgery in Como (Canning Highway). Through our arrangement, the purchase price of a kitten includes the 2nd booster vaccination, micrchipping and desexing operation. (For those purchasers not living in the Perth area, options of veterinarians will be discussed.)

Our Terms for Purchasers of our Pet kittens

  • As responsible pet owners, cats are required to be kept indoors or in an area of safety. Enclosing a patio, veranda or carport with strong mesh is a wonderful way of keeping your pet enclosed while "bringing the outdoors in" safely.
  • It is without exception that kittens must be desexed by 6 months of age, if purchased under a non breeding arrangement. Having a season or producing a litter of kittens is of no benefit to the cat or anyone else, and can expose your much loved pet to dangers from feral cats, dangerous
    dogs, disease, and road trauma.
  • Please consider the long-term prospects before purchasing a kitten. Cats should lead a long and healthy life.
  • Russian Blues or Abyssinians both make beautiful additions to the family, but they are not to be left to the sole responsibility of children to care for their needs. Litter trays, in particular, should be cleaned by an adult.
  • All cats, including kittens, should be transport in a suitable pet carry box, for their safety. Cardboard boxes are easy for cats to open, and washing baskets are not advised at any time. If you require a new pet carrier please let me know as I occasionally have some available for purchase.
  • There is a growing awareness of cat allergery, or sensitivity in some people when in the company of cats. If you think this might apply to you or a member of your family, please see the information below.

Allergy/Sensitivity to Cats

  • The allergen responsible for reactions in people to cats is a protein found in the dander and saliva of cats, known as FED D-1. This protein can become airborne as microscopic particles which are breathed in.
  • Some breeds of cats do produce fewer allergens (known as 'hypoallergenic') but all cats have dander and groom themselves with saliva.
  • The Russian cat is often referred to as being 'Hypoallergenic', as they are 'believed' to have a lower FED D-1 protein levels.
  • Kittens will often not trigger a cat allergy response. Desexed (neutered) cats often produce less allergen than an entire cat.
  • It should be remembered that my home is not an ideal testing ground for individual allergic responses, as we have a mix of adults and kittens plus desexed animals of both breeds
  • Please consider carefully the decision to take any kitten into your home many cats are surrendered to shelters or passed to others each year because of the misconception that a shorthaired cat will not trigger an allergic response.

  • Other considerations
    • Kittens are sometimes available for future breeding; however they will be offered only to approved registered breeders with an already established cattery prefix from a recognised cat registering body.
